Looking Glass Farm Camp Highlights

"Kelly's Level 1/2 camp was exactly what my mare and I needed. After my levels horse passed away, I was given an older green mare named Penny. Penny learned Level 1 basics and after 10 months was ready for her first clinic. Kelly's 4-day camp format provided the optimum learning experience. We refined Level 1 basics the first day, and focused on Level 2 material the rest of the time. Any issues that Penny and I encountered during the morning group sessions were addressed in our afternoon private lessons. Kelly did a great job meeting our needs, especially since Penny and I are at different skill levels. Looking Glass Farm provided the ideal environment in which to play, learn and board my horse. A class field trip to Hitchcock Woods on the last day was a highlight of the camp. Kelly so generously gave us access to her expertise, facilities, and home cooking for 4 days, which was invaluable. My mare made incredible progress during the camp, and we are looking forward to returning for a Level 2/3 camp later this year.

Thank you, Kelly!"

I just returned from participating in my first L2/3 camp with Kelly Sigler at Looking Glass Farm.  My horse, Dakota, and I progressed more during those four days than we had all winter!  Kelly assisted in helping to advance my PNH skills to a level I didn't think I could achieve.  I returned home with a new sense of confidence and lots of ambition to continue my journey with Dakota.

The beautiful facility, excellent food, and new friendships  were all part of the camp experience.  I can't wait to particpate in another PNH camp with Kelly Sigler!

Hello Kelly!  Just wanted to send you a quick e-mail about Bert.  As you know my ASB retired show horse suffered from a traumatic eye injury mid December 09.  After a lengthy recovery time stall bound we emerged.  My outstanding trail mount had now become a terrified coward with a tendency to freeze, bolt and even buck when I was brave enough to climb on board.  Hence the e-mail for assistance...  With 2 of us taking 20 minutes to load and finally using a broom we were on our way.  At first "Bert" yelled and looked at everything but me.  After work and consistency by the end of the week I was able to load him myself and  ride him with other horses on the trail!  This was no small feat from where we had been!  My horse now looks to me for direction and can calmly stay focused on me for lengthening intervals.  It has to be one of the most joyous moments in my  life to see my "old" horse coming back to me!  Thank you again for your assistance in changing this horses future!  Will see you in the fall for your next class!

Sincerely,

 Shelby and Gilbert
